All about Seed Sprout Tea

Seed sprout tea, or SST is something that is very popular. While it’s been something popularized in the west in the last couple of decades, Chinese cuisine has used this for a long time, and it’s something that offers a ton of protein, antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, and even powerful enzymes too. Some people have started to use cannabis with this too, although the most popular to make this is of course, with beans or small sprouted plants.

Seed sprout tea is actually possible as well with cannabis seeds, and it does offer a lot of boosts and benefits. It’s actually a natural stimulant in plant growth, has a tone of phytohormones, minerals, and enzymes along with other kinds of nutrients, and is great for cannabis plants since it provides a vegetative growth, and also is good during the flowering stage too, depending on how you use it.

The seeds used

Seeds that are around do sprout when you expose it to three things: water, air, and heat.  This pushes the reactions necessary to offer seed sprouts, which then break down the macronutrients, and the micronutrients are further increased. Sprouted seeds are super nutritious, and it’s really good than if you grew it from the plant directly.  It’s got a vitality that’s great for a lot of people especially those who grow cannabis with grow lamps, or even outdoors too.

Youkan get different types of seeds that work for this. Maize, alfalfa, barley and lentils are some of the best because of the many vitamins that are in this, and the high levels of nutrient content availible in this as well.

Making seed sprout Tea

If you’re going to make this, you want to use seeds that come from an organic kind of agriculture, since it doesn’t need to have chemicals or pesticides on this, and it’s also a lot healthier too. Organic sections in stores are good for this, and with cannabis, if you get the seeds from organic growers, they’ll definitely make sure the seeds are safe.

To make this, you need the following:

  • An ounce of the seeds of choice

  • Water

  • A glass jar

  • A sieve

  • ¼ teaspoon of kelp meal

  • A food processor or blender

  • Elastic band or cheesecloth.

To make this, do the following:

  1. Clean the seeds so that they’re not contaminated or have any grime on this. Run the seed under the water. It also gets rid of the growth inhibitors in the seeds as well.

  2. Keep these overnight and add some kelp meal to help with infusing this to push for the germination fo this.

  3. Rinse and dry the seeds, sand then put them n the jar, making sure that they sit on the sides. Put a cheese cloth over the top, and then, keep a rubber band over the top to keep dust out.

  4. Drain and rinse the seeds twice daily for a few days, and then, once they’ve sprouted, put it in a processor with about a cup of water. The nutria bullet blenders are good, but any food processor should do it well.

  5. Get the liquid and the seed pulp separated through using a sieve, and the strain the liquid, and then you can get rid of the pulp through composting or in the soil

  6. Dilute the rest of the seeds with water, and then, you can prepare it for a tea

SST is a good way for you to get the most out of the seeds that you have and it’s something that works wonders for cannabis seeds.
